A question

This would be a very valid comment for a simple work of fiction.

Kierkegaard though used a writing method that is increadibly cleaver. What he did was create, through the use of books and essays, an enormous Platonic dialouge.

The authors of his philosophical essays all have their own distinct and defendable philosphical positions and the sum whole of Kierkegaards work is an amazing thing.

Either/Or isn’t just some book that you pick up and read. It is not just a work of fiction. It is a major philosphical text whose impact can be felt in Hedonism, Leagalism, Christianity (born-again mostly) Atheism and exestentialism.

Kierkegaard may very well be one of the brightest authors that ever lived, he very carefully build a book, in this case Either\Or – a book that can only be enjoyed from the vantagpoint of someone with some understanding.

Remember this, anything in life that is worthwhile is worth working for.

People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid. The present state of the world and the whole of life is diseased.

If I were a doctor and were asked for my advice, I should reply: Create Silence.
