As I warm up for my HTC Legend, I’ll make a list of my favourite and most used apps – all free and all from Market.
Assistant Free
A personal assistant, collecting all of your different accounts from social media, travel agencies, airlines, bank accounts, etc. Would of cause be much more useful (to me) if it was available in Danish, with Danish/Nordic suppliers.
Astro
Very efficient file manager app.
Berlin City
My favourite city! Useful map of U-Bahn – always at hand.
FX Currency
Currency converter, includes tip calculator, key rates, and a travel guide.
Documents to go
Open, edit, save all Office documents; word, excel, powerpoint – and even pdf. A Must Have.
Dropbox
Seamless up- and download of all files. The far easiest way to sync files between 2 computers, between computer and smart phone – or both. Also works as web stored back up.
EverNote
An easy way make a note of – everything: a thought, a photo, a website. Is easily synced with device and/or pc.
Kontanter
Lists all cash machines for DanKort nearby via GPS and maps. Very, very handy!
Locale
A dynamic setting manager. A bunch of plug-ins available. You simply create situations specifying conditions under which your phone’s settings should change. Cool.
MP3tunes Mobile Locker
Upload/back up all your music files to MP3tunes – then listen to your music on your phone.
My Tracks
Enables you to record GPS tracks and view live statistics – such as time, speed, distance, and elevation – while hiking, biking, running or participating in other outdoor activities. Once recorded, you can share your tracks, upload them to Google Spreadsheets and visualize them on Google My Maps. Ought to use this app more …
OI Safe
A safe for Android that protects your passwords and other private data with AES encryption. All encrypted information is stored in a database on the phone. No information is kept online. The most simple and efficient shopping list. Has a memory for the most common items on the list.
Percent calculator
What 33,3 % of 247? Calculate at hand … An absolute need to have for a humanist as myself.
Places Directory
Restaurants, gas stations, Banks, Hotels … nearby your GPS position. Includes ratings, reviews and Google Map.
WordPress
I like the idea of being able to edit my blog from my phone. Never tried, though …
